Turnaround Time, Shipping & Delivery

Turnaround time
  • All of our products are handmade, which means turnaround times will vary depending on the items. For example, our journals. We cut the paper ourselves, print, hole punch and put together and our info cards are individually cut and punched by hand. Please be mindful when ordering, that we are a small business not a factory and every item is handmade with love and care. The majority of our orders are dispatched in less than 10 working days. However, please allow 14 working day turnaround time. This may change during busy times, and as stock fluctuates. We will make every effort to keep customers updated via our social media platforms. 
  • Orders that necessitate delivery before our standard turnaround time may incur a "rush fee" of £7.50. This additional charge covers the extra time spent beyond regular working hours and expedited shipping costs. If you have a specific deadline for your items, kindly reach out to us through social media or email before placing your order to confirm our ability to meet your requirements. Please note that rush fees will be determined on a case-by-case basis due to the handmade-to-order nature of our items, and there may be instances where we are unable to accommodate all deadlines.

Shipping

  • We use third party couriers to ship our products. By purchasing from us you agree to your information being shared with these companies.
  • We are not responsible for any delays via courier. 
  • You will always receive a tracking number with your order from the courier. We currently use MyHermes (now known as evri) to ship within the UK and Transglobal for international orders, however this may change occasionally.
  • Polka Dot Teapot Designs is not responsible for any incorrect shipping information being entered at the checkout, and does not refund or replace orders due to this. If an item is returned back to us, we reserve the right to recharge for delivery.
  • Polka Dot Teapot Designs are not responsible for any custom charges.
  • Polka Dot Teapot Designs is not responsible for uncollected parcels, we will make every effort to contact the customer regarding uncollected parcels, however if a response is not received, the shipping company may choose to destroy or return the parcel to us. Refunds are not given for uncollected parcels. If the parcel is returned, we are happy to re-send, but the buyer is responsible for the additional shipping cost 
  • If you believe your parcel is lost or items are missing, please contact us at your earliest convenience and we will make every effort to resolve the situation. In some cases, we may need to refer the case to our chosen mail carrier for investigation, and if mail theft is suspected, the mail carrier may chose to pass the case over to legal services, including the police. In this instance we will fully support the customer and provide all communication and any help needed with forms etc. 
  • Claims and concerns regarding international shipping, lost parcel or delivery must be made within 30 days of the dispatch date as per Transglobal's policies. After this time it is no longer possible to make a claim. 
  • All items are filmed when packed.
  • In the incident a refund or replacement is requested due to lost or stolen mail, this will be given depending on and upon the completion of the investigation from the mail carrier.
  • If you are unhappy with your item, please contact us via email with your order information. We are happy to accept returns within 14 working days. Items must be reshipped to us in the same condition it was received in. Once the item has been returned to us, we will process a refund. We cannot process refunds without the item returned. The buyer is responsible for return shipping in this instance.
  • If you believe your item to be faulty, please contact us with photographs of the issue. We will offer either a refund, partial refund or replacement. We will provide a returns label so the product can be returned to us, and replacements/ refunds will be sent when we receive the item back.
  • Due to the nature of digital downloads, these items are not refundable.
